Where Did My Money Go?

You wake up, check your account balance, and it’s still the same number you saw yesterday—but somehow, it feels smaller. Welcome to the modern economy: a place where your salary has wings, and prices go to the gym daily.

Let’s be honest—everything is expensive now. Food, transport, even peace of mind. You walk into the market with confidence, and leave with one tomato, one onion, and a motivational speech from the seller. “Things will get better,” they say. You nod, holding back tears.

The economy is like a magician—it makes your money disappear. You get paid on Friday, by Monday you’re googling: “How to make noodles taste like fried rice.” Saving is now a myth. Budgets are just dreams we write down before reality punches us in the face.

Meanwhile, experts on TV say “the economy is recovering.” From what? A coma? Because we haven’t seen it. What we’ve seen is fuel prices rising, transport costs doubling, and your lunch shrinking faster than your patience.

The worst part? Your bills don’t know you’re broke. They show up on time, every month, like overzealous relatives. But somehow, we survive. We cut costs. We improvise. We laugh through the pain. Because in this economy, humour is free—for now.

Conclusion!

The economy didn’t crash. It just quietly packed its bags and left us with receipts.
